Colony Oak Beautification Project/ Memorial Garden Colony Oak is looking to beautify the landscaping and include a memorial garden in the landscaped area by the office. Colony Oak was recently modernized and this front landscaping area was outside of the scope of the project. The memorial garden will include 13 rose trees in memory of Mary Lou Kahl, a past Colony Oak principal of 13 years, and 3 memorial trees in honor of two students and a staff member. The landscaping/ beautification will also include two additional trees and ground covering. This is a family friendly project. We are looking for an individual with a love for gardening and landscaping to help lead and design this project with the project leader, Mrs. Griffiths. We are looking for 45 volunteers to help beautify the area by planting and weeding. Volunteers need to wear appropriate clothing with closed toes shoes.
